Introducing: Failed State Update (the website)
Your new home for dystopian fact and true conspiracies
I have some very exciting news: Today is the launch of Failed State Update, the website. This is the new home for all my writing and eventually that of some other talented journalists. In the first 19 months of its existence, Failed State Update has chronicled the culture of American decline through numerous feature articles and a podcasts. For the next phase of the adventure, I will be working with the Roundtable Media Network to bring these stories to a much larger audience.
Check it out for yourself here: https://roundtable.io/failed-state-update/
Going forward, people on the mailing list will receive a weekly roundup of news and stories from the site. And if you’re a paid subscriber: Thank you for keeping my bank balance above $0.00! I’ll continue to send you original reporting and feature articles, which you’ll receive the day before they appear on the website (unless it’s particularly timely and needs to go up right away, which I’m sure will happen from time to time).
Another thing about paid subscriptions: they’re a great way to contribute to my work. New subscription pricing, as of December 2021, is $7/month or $75/year.
Please reply to this email and let me know what you think of the new site. But first, check out what we’ve published over the last seven days:
